"Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" by Louis Jordan and His Tympany Five from the album Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens / Let the Good Times Roll. 1946.
Very late description, but it's better than the tardiness of the week of the 20th's song. Bahh, no one's really keeping track at this point anyhow, amiright?
Well, I'll give ya a little insight onto this song, but put my focus on catching up with the week. This is a jazzy song from the mid-forties. Its cheeky lyrics can be interpreted quite dirty though if desired. Or you could take the Muppet's approach. The lyrics do a good job describing the scene, where a farmer hears some commotion in his hen house and checks it out only to hear someone call "there ain't nobody here but us chickens!" The jokes continue from there, but you can be assured someone is hiding out there. Whether it's a wild couple or a rowdy gang is up to your imagination.
