WTF?

WTF indeed! We stand for Films, Tunes, and Whatever else we feel like (not necessarily in order!) Professor Nonsense heads the 'Whatever' department, posting ramblings ranging from the decrepit, to the offbeat, to the just plain absurd! The mysterious Randor takes helm of the 'Tunes' front, detailing the various melodic messages he gets in earfuls. Weekly recommendations and various musings follow his shadows. Finally, our veteran movie critic, Lt Archie Hicox, commands the 'Film' battlefield, giving war-weathered reviews on flicks the way he sees them. Through the eyes of a well-versed renegade, he stands down for no man! Together we are (W)hatever(T)unes(F)ilms!

Countdown: Random Places Immortalized in Music, #10

The Professor babbles again!

After months of hibernation, (at least I wish, sleep is really nice) I'm showing up here again, and this time to start a new series of "top ten" countdowns.

To start off, we're going to go with a bit of a geography lesson, looking at oddball places that musicians have chosen to sing about, or at least include in their lyrics. And at the top of the list, number ten is...

Winslow, Arizona

"Well, I'm standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona, such a fine sight to see. It's a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford, slowing down to take a look at me."
