WTF?

WTF indeed! We stand for Films, Tunes, and Whatever else we feel like (not necessarily in order!) Professor Nonsense heads the 'Whatever' department, posting ramblings ranging from the decrepit, to the offbeat, to the just plain absurd! The mysterious Randor takes helm of the 'Tunes' front, detailing the various melodic messages he gets in earfuls. Weekly recommendations and various musings follow his shadows. Finally, our veteran movie critic, Lt Archie Hicox, commands the 'Film' battlefield, giving war-weathered reviews on flicks the way he sees them. Through the eyes of a well-versed renegade, he stands down for no man! Together we are (W)hatever(T)unes(F)ilms!

Poll Results, Mar2010

Poll3
Poll4

One of these days we'll get it together and have two polls every two weeks, but for now here are the results of March's polls! I don't believe there's anything too surprising about these stats. Archie and the Prof may have some added insight in a bit, but Randor here has the floor for the moment. Us writers were all in agreement that The Karate Kid does not need a remake, and the new version will certainly be weaker, at the least. I'm personally more surprised that they're trying to remake The A-Team! I've no clue how that'll work, with a new setting and cast, but my expectations are low already. As for the tune poll, well.. what can I say? Perhaps it was a weighted question from the start, as country is usually associated with the "underdog genre" ... Rap is the only one without a single vote. Not shocking, and with such a low spread, not too significant either.
The most interesting thing to note in these? Sample size! More votes than the first set we had! That's always good to see, so keep on voting and we'll keep on posting! If there's a question you want asked, drop us a line!

  1. Agreed, most definitely nice to see some more participation.
I will say though, that of the genera, I feel like country kind of falls on its own as an enjoyed genera. A lot of people who would type themselves as country fans kind of shy away from other genera, while indie, classic rock, and techno kind of share components to enough of an extent where they can spawn an across-the-board appreciation.
