WTF?

WTF indeed! We stand for Films, Tunes, and Whatever else we feel like (not necessarily in order!) Professor Nonsense heads the 'Whatever' department, posting ramblings ranging from the decrepit, to the offbeat, to the just plain absurd! The mysterious Randor takes helm of the 'Tunes' front, detailing the various melodic messages he gets in earfuls. Weekly recommendations and various musings follow his shadows. Finally, our veteran movie critic, Lt Archie Hicox, commands the 'Film' battlefield, giving war-weathered reviews on flicks the way he sees them. Through the eyes of a well-versed renegade, he stands down for no man! Together we are (W)hatever(T)unes(F)ilms!

Randor's Song of the Week: 11.13.11

The Shift and Blur
"Outsider" by the Daylights from the album The Shift and Blur. 2004.

Let your ears do the legwork on this one, folks. Just a brief word from me if you

As much as this song deserves commentary, I just find myself battling the real world too much lately to spend the time on writing it. I figure a song like this can fend for itself. The lyrics speak better magnitudes than Charles Francis Richter, at least the way I interpret them. Outsider seems to have ambiguous meaning here. Conclude your own -usions though by reading along with the words listed at this site, which has better accuracy than the Youtube clip's attempt. Not that the lyrics are hard to hear, mind you.
And yes, I might've heard this first in the Sims 2... sung in the fake language of Simlish. Shuddup, don't judge me, that game was awesome back in those teenage years! Besides, the song expands way past that playroom ceiling. "Outsider" has a place inside er.. my heart? (See what I did there?)
