WTF?

WTF indeed! We stand for Films, Tunes, and Whatever else we feel like (not necessarily in order!) Professor Nonsense heads the 'Whatever' department, posting ramblings ranging from the decrepit, to the offbeat, to the just plain absurd! The mysterious Randor takes helm of the 'Tunes' front, detailing the various melodic messages he gets in earfuls. Weekly recommendations and various musings follow his shadows. Finally, our veteran movie critic, Lt Archie Hicox, commands the 'Film' battlefield, giving war-weathered reviews on flicks the way he sees them. Through the eyes of a well-versed renegade, he stands down for no man! Together we are (W)hatever(T)unes(F)ilms!

Poll Results, Apr2010

Poll5
Poll6

Again, the other writers are bound to comment on the results later. For now you get my thoughts.
In my mind, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd seem like enjoyability equals. Putting them head-to-head is natural to me, though Pink gets the upper hand personally. When the poll first sped off, Led Zeppelin zoomed far in the lead, and I was a bit surprised. I guess they may have better name recognition in today's world. When Pink closed the gap for a tie, I may of been satisfied that my choice has some backing as well, but my question still technically hasn't an answer. No matter which of the two has the larger fan base, they're both legends in their own right. That's good enough.
Now, for the next Batman flick, I could see Harley Quinn somehow written in, but without the Joker she'd be lacking much story. My pick is Bane. With the semi-realism the new franchise is trying to achieve tied in with dark theme and questions of morality, his potential incarnation could be quite a doozey. And while the Riddler, the Penguin, and Catwoman are often cited, I would like to see some villains previously passed by older Batman movies. Though I do have faith in Christopher Nolan's direction and choices.
